Cipanas Presidential Palace: The palace was built in 1740 by Van Heuts in the land area of 25 hectares. Cipanas Presidential Palace or better known as Cipanas Palace is located at the foot of Mount Gede, 103 km from Jakarta to Bandung direction, or 17 km from the city of Cianjur. Although not used, Cipanas Palace remains well preserved. The scenery around the palace are covered with vegetables, fruits and ornamental plants provide beautiful shades. Magnificent palace that was built in 1740 can be visited with special permission from the General Secretary of State.
Cipanas palace complex stands on a land area of 26 acres, consisting of the main building and seven pavilions, equipped sports facilities. Building area is 950 m2 sluas panggun building, comprising several rooms. Located at an altitude of 1,100 meters, as far as the eye could see looks of vegetables, fruits, ornamental plants and perennials that are laid out in a small forest
.
Each room is filled of furniture, Jepara carving and a collection of paintings by the masters, like Basuki Abdullah, Dullah, Sudjojono and Lee Man Kong. While the pavilion buildings each named puppet figures. Some new pavilion completed in 1916 and the most recent two built in 1984. whole building looks so luxurious and artistic.
